Adding A Scene

So this is another blog because it's friday!  We have been working on adding scenes to our game and my partner and I have been doing really good with it.  I think  games that help me have a better understanding  would be cool math games!  I think we willl have success, in creating our game!  Again our game is about decimals, percent, and taxes, it is called "Shopping With decimals, percent, and taxes"!  My favorite part of our game would probaly have to be the Mall part! :D  I have been working on fixing the directions so that it will be easy to understand for everyone. I have played games that relate to our topic on websites such as y8 and coolmath! I hope you have enjoyed my blog!

Drawing a Scene

     Hi bloggers! Our topic for this blog is under the catorgey Drawing a Scene! Our challenge is to list a new idea or concept we have learned about our game topic since we started this.  And how did we come to learn this. Also what sources helped us to gain more understanding.  And what makes the information trustworthy.  Throughout this game process, me and my partner have learned alot about our topic.   Until you really start making the game you don't really get the full understanding of what it takes to make a game.  Alyson and I learned more information by using websites like google, wikipedia, ask, etc., to learn more about our theme! Paper Prototyping

     Paper Prototyping, has helped me A LOT!! It has taught me how to plan out my game in a fun way.  My partner Alyson and I shared the work, like one of us would do one page and like the other would do the next page.  I really enjoyed working on paper prototyping!  Even though it got kinda frustating at times, but it was LOTS of fun and I really enjoyed it!  I can't wait to start making my game! This has caused me to change afew things in our game and made me think of more ideas to come up with for our game.  I feel that paper prototyping has helped everyone in our class. Also, made us have a new prosective of our game! I love Globaloria!

Imagining My Game.....

     Our game is going to be about shopping it will be based on the topic of shopping!  It will mostly teach you about taxes, percentage, and decimals.   Our game idea is to, have a game that will entertain yet learn.  The  genres of our game will be  adventure and stragey.  I think our game will be educational and fun!  I think that me and my partner will have lots of fun working to create our game!  My partner and I are called the Amazing A's, because both of our names start with an A!  We will work good together and try our hardest to successed.  The game will work by us taking our time to make sure every aspect of our game will work successully!  Our game will fit our personality because shopping is one of our favorite things!  I love Globaloria and I hope that everyone in my class will succed and I think that they will!  I hope that my game will be cool and everyone will like it to!  I am mostly excited about getting my game finished, so I can see how it works. Also, see how everyone likes it

Free Time!

     Welp, it's a Friday so that means another blog and another blog topic. In this blog I will tell you what type of games I play in my free time. So here it is...  In my free time,what free time I have, I play games like on my wii and my laptop!  Usally I play games like, racing or  a Wii Fit game like that.  I think that racing is an very fun and intertaining game!  The Wii Fit game can help  you exercise, besides setting at the computer all day. These games doesn't effect the was perspective I have about my game design.  It doesn't affect this because I think that a racing game or a Wii Fit game would be way too hard to accomplish than the game that my partner and I are going to do.  I hope to create a whole entire game with my partners help!  I think that creating a whole game would be challening but awesome!

Choosing a Topic..

    

      My name is Alyssa, I am in the 7th grade at Sandy River Middle School.  My favorite song is Baby! I like to spend my spare time with my family and friends. Also on the phone and the computer! My teacher in Globaloria is Mr.Lester , he is awesome! Also, I'm in a group with Alyson Christian and we are called The Amazing A's, because both of our names start with an A!!  Our game is going to be about taxes, percentage, and decimals.  Alyson and I will probaly be creating a game about shopping (a girls favorite thing to do)!  The links that me & my partner put on our choosing a topic page answered our questions we had about our game.  I feel that our game will be entertaining, yet educational!  I am so excited to start making games and working with my partner!  I look forward to starting to create my game!  I hope everyone likes it and enjoy's learning, if that's possible :) thanks for reading! 

What type of Game I would like to make..

In Globaloria, I would like to create games that has the genre of action. My last assignment was to play games that other students and teams created. I found that I like the action genre. For example, maybe a racing, basketball, or swimming game. I feel that the genre of action is the most entertaining and won't make students get tired of learning so easy. Action is very fun and it isn't easy to get bored off. I want students to want to play my games and not feel that they are boring. Also, I really like to stay active. Being active is very important for your health. I would mostly like to create an racing game, because I really like to play racing games! My idea for a game, would be to have students answer math problems and then they would get to race if they got it right! I think this class will be fun!
